Walnut Tree-Tables

Walnut is a rather precious wood -  rare, expensive and prized by furniture makers. It has three characters, the new sapwood is light and disctinctly separated from the darker heart wood. Eventually you get formed the darker and at times almost black harder wood which I particulary prize. It is particularly reliable to work with, and seems to move less than some other woods I use, perhaps explaining it's suitablity for cabinet making.
