Box Tree-Table

Such a piece of burr-rich box is a very unusual occurance and this may well be the only ever table I make like it! For many years I have waited to find planked box to make a top to go with it. I managed to find planked box-alder, but that was rather plain and paler, but it served for a plynth. Given the chunkiness of the burr box, it needed something richer and heavier, and in the end it was a piece of sycamore with served the purpose.
